I tripped on a porch step not long ago and sprained my ankle. I would have thought that if I was going to have any pain in the aftermath of the healing period, it would be in the region of my ankle. However, it was my hip that was causing me a lot of pain, which is something that I was just not able to figure out. I have a friend who is a physical therapist, and she told me that I should see a chiropractor in San Diego as that is the medical professional who would more than likely be able to help me.
I did trust her opinion on this because this is the stuff she deals with at work on a regular basis. I asked her if there was a chiropractor that she tended to like over others, and she told me I should check out Life Chiropractic Center. They have several chiropractors there, and she said they are all really good. She has even seen one herself, plus her patients talk about the doctors they do and do not like, and this group of chiropractors always get top billing.
I was able to get in relatively fast, and I learned within minutes why an ankle sprain would cause my hip to hurt weeks later. I was not even sure if the two were connected, but then my chiropractor explained how any change in a person’s gait can cause problems in the hip area. This requires not only chiropractic adjustments but also plenty of exercises to help me strengthen that area of my body. I don’t really like exercise in general, but I liked hurting even less, so it was pretty easy to make myself do the work that needed to be done to start feeling better. I am just glad my friend put me on this path!
